The Church, is the Body of Christ, the Church of God, the 'mother', the 'bride', the woman whom God kept safe, from the 'flood' of Satan's counterfeit lies [virgins 'spiritually means': pure, repented of sins, cleansed in the Blood of the Passover Lamb of God and following Christ, keeping God's Commandments]
A woman - God’s people, which is His
Church, are likened unto a comely and
delicate woman of virgin purity, or
uncorrupted, in the Bible. (Jeremiah
6:2; Isaiah 51:16; 54:5-6; 2 Corinthians
11:2; Ephesians 5:23-27, 31-32)
This woman, clothed with the heavenly bodies that God created to give light to the earth, (Genesis 1:14-17) (just as God said of His believers that they are the light of the world. Matthew 5:14) is in striking contrast to the woman of Revelation 17, who is clothed and adorned with earthly things and has corrupted her purity in being a harlot.
There is no doubt that this woman is a representation of the True Church of God, for it is this woman that brings forth/gives birth to the man Child, Jesus, and is persecuted after His ascension, verses 2, 4-6.
In the Old Testament we are introduced to 2 women, from whence these symbols are derived, the one representing Babylon, (Isaiah 47:1) and the other Jerusalem. (Jeremiah 6:2) Once again we see here in Revelation 12, the bride of Christ in purity, spiritual Jerusalem, the Church of God, and in Revelation 17 Satan’s bride, spiritual Babylon earthly and sensual.
Therefore we can conclude that a pure woman is a pure Church and an impure woman is an impure Church. Here in Revelation 12 is represented God’s Church.
Bridegroom: Christ is the bride's
groom and He shall return for her as
He promised [the Church, though persecuted, among other things, would endure to the end, after the remnant who cleaned their garments were brought back together after being spewed out of God's mouth], the Bride, the Church is to make itself ready [white garments-clean garments] for the union and the return of Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords Heading God's government on the earth for 1,000yrs.
White garments: repentant hearts, turning [returning] to God, praying for forgiveness of sins, fighting the 'daily' battle, keeping the commandments and getting that 'daily' bread
GOD IS HOLY, THE HOLY ONE: HIS HOLY SPIRIT, HIS HOLY PRESENCE, HIS HOLY NAME, HIS HOLY WORD, HIS HOLY MOUNTAIN, HIS HOLY DAYS

**the physical nation of Israel was to grasp it physically and now through the Messiah the spiritual nation of Israel is to grasp it spiritual (God has given His Holy Spirit to His Church, the Body of Christ, the Church of God).
Naked [before God]: God sees our hearts, 'nothing' is hidden from God
"bite of the apple": doubting God's word, disobeying God's word, giving in to the temptation of the serpent, believing the serpent over God Almighty. it's not like the 'snow white' fable, n no they did not die instantaneously [devil tried to 'twist' God's words then as now] but they brought about death for mankind, man dies, and God shows us that eternally 'spiritually' if we do not hold on to His Ten Commandments.
The punishments He showed through 'ancient' Israel were physical until His people could grasp it on a spiritual level. sin kills, wicked (heart of) man[kind], man had to be mortal beings and once sin entered God no longer dwelt with man as He desired to. God will not be in the presence of sin, for He is holy, that is why He is 'perfect' in giving us the definition to sin: the transgression of the law, the breaking of any of the ten commandments. all but One have disobeyed God's voice/words/laws/commands; for all but Jesus Christ have sinned. but God wants us to return, desiring that none shall perish, calling His people [in the end time-see Revelation] out from the 'harlot'

Israel: this is the name God gave to Jacob, Isaac's son, Abraham's grandson so the children of Israel are the 'physical' and 'spiritual' seeds [descendants] of Abraham
Spiritual Israel: the people 'children' of God, many more spiritually through the Branch from Judah, one of the tribes [sons] of Israel [Jacob]: the Messiah
Israel means 'God's people', 'the people of God', it is no longer just a physical nation that God is working with, now it is "spiritual", the physical and spiritual descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

To repent is to change the way we think, and the way we live and turn to God's ways alone.

God’s Holy Spirit is the crucial element that makes the New Covenant workable, in contrast to the Old Covenant that failed because of Israel’s disobedience. Hebrews 8:10 (which quotes Jeremiah 31:33) states, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.”
