THESE ARE MY FEASTS, MY SABBATHS, MY APPOINTED TIMES SAYS THE LORD OUR GOD

When a legal dispute arises, the priests are to decide the case according to My laws. They are to keep all My designated festivals according to My rules and regulations, and they are to keep the Sabbaths holy. (Ezekiel 44:24)

GOD'S HOLY DAYS OCCUR IN TWO SEASONS: SPRING AND FALL.

God’s Holy Day calendar is based upon the harvest seasons of Israel. As indicated, this pictures for us the spiritual harvest God plans to reap.

You never thought to honor Me, even though I send the autumnspring rains and give you the harvest season each year. ( rains and the Jeremiah 5:24 GNT)

They don't say to themselves, "Let's fear ADONAI our God, who gives the fall and spring rains in season, who reserves us the weeks assigned for harvest." (Jeremiah 5:24 CJB)

In the process of revealing His plan of salvation for mankind, God established His annual Holy Days around the harvest seasons in the Middle East (Leviticus 23:9-16; Exodus 23:14-16). Just as His people harvested their crops around these three festival seasons, God's Holy Days show us how He is harvesting people for eternal life in His Kingdom.

The Holy Days have meanings that build upon each other. Together they progressively reveal how God is working with humanity!!

"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts. (Leviticus 23:2 NKJ)
"Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. (Exodus 31:13 NKJ) 'Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and keep My Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God. For thus says the Lord: "To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, (Isaiah 56:4 NKJ) Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them. (Ezekiel 20:12 NKJ) hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.' (Ezekiel 20:20 NKJ)

SEASONS:

Psalms 104:19 states: “HE APPOINTED THE MOON FOR SEASONS: the sun knoweth his going down.”   The number for SEASONS, in Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, in this verse is #4150 and it is for a Hebrew word that has many meanings pertaining to the Lord's feasts.  #4150, mo'ed', mo-ade'; from 3259; properly an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; specifically a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand):- appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn (-ity), synagogue, (set) time (appointed).

The above meanings of the Hebrew word mo'ed are usually condensed to mean “appointed times.”  The word “seasons” in Genesis 1:14 is also Strong's #4150, mo'ed, meaning “appointed times.”In  Leviticus, chapter 23, this same Hebrew word, #4150, mo'ed' is translated “feasts” in some verses.  Read verses 1- 4.  (1) “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, (2) Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the “feasts” (#4150, appointed times) of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my “feasts” (#4150).  (3) Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings. (4) These are the “feasts” (#4150) of the Lord, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their “seasons” (#4150).  In these verses, the Lord tells us that the weekly Sabbaths and “feasts” are the Lord's “appointed times.”

Israel's food harvest seasons begin after the vernal equinox each year in the month Abib. Read Exodus 23:14-17; Exodus 34:18, 22; Leviticus 23:39; and Deuteronomy 16:13, 16.  The Lord's appointed feasts occur around the major food harvests in the year.  The barley harvest begins during the Days of Unleavened Bread, the wheat harvest is usually complete around Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles usually occurs about the time of the harvest year's end (turn), when “what was sown in the field has been gathered in out of the field.” The harvest theme, for the Lord's feast days, is based on the growing season at Jerusalem.

From the King James Version, notice what Asaph did record in song. (3) “Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day. (4) For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.”  The Feast of Trumpets is what verse three is referring to, as it is the only feast of God that always begins on the new moon (the 1st day of the month) and because verse four states it is “a law of the God of Jacob;” the “law” that is stated in Leviticus 23:24 and Numbers 29:1.

'Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and keep My Sabbaths: I am the Lord' your God.
(Leviticus 19:3 NKJ)

"I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, Who are among you, To whom its reproach is a burden. (Zephaniah 3:18 NKJ)

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." (Matthew 11:30 NKJ)

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not
 burdensome.
(1 John 5:3 NKJ)

Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified  by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:  Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.  Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God  and our Lord Jesus Christ.  But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.  And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;  as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.  Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"   But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.  Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.   These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about  by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;  raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.   Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,   to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."   These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.  But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:  how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.  These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,  keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.   And on some have compassion, making a distinction;  but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire,  hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.  Now to Him who is able to keep you  from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, To God our Savior,  Who alone is wise,  Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power,  Both now and forever. Amen. (Jude 1 NKJ)

  1. Remember that as long as heaven and earth last, not the least point nor the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with - not until the end of all things. (Matthew 5:18 GNT) For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. (Matthew 5:18 NKJ)

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail. (Luke 16:17 NKJ) But it is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest detail of the Law to be done away with. (Luke 16:17 GNT)
