GOD IS HOLY, THEREFORE WE HALLOW HIS HOLY THINGS: HIS NAME (HIS SABBATHS)

In the Holy Bible and most well known reference Bibles, our Heavenly Father has instructed us to call Him by His one and only Name. Therefore, we must be receptive to the revelation of His Divine Name.
  • Psalms 68:4 NKJ

Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name Yah, And rejoice before Him.
  • Isaiah 12:2 NKJ

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; 'For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.' "
  • Isaiah 26:4 NKJ

Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
  • Isaiah 38:11 NKJ

I said, "I shall not see Yah, The Lord in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world.

1. Our Heavenly Father instructed mankind to call Him by His Sacred Name. Our Heavenly father commanded mankind to call Him by His name from the beginning of time. The Old Testament prophets' relationship with Yahweh was reflected by their names. For example, Elijah means "Yahweh is my EL"; Isaiah means "Salvation of Yahweh', and Zechariah means "Yahweh has remembered". In Genesis 28:12 and 13, Yahweh said to Jacob, I am Yahweh the EI of Abraham and Isaac. The following Scripture denotes that Yahweh has one name and that Name has a Hebrew pronunciation because He revealed Himself to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob of the Hebrew race and made a covenant with them which is still in effect today. Yahweh expresses His preference as follows: "In this manner, therefore pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name." (Matthew 6:9) I am Yahweh: that is My Name: And My glory will not give to another, neither My praise to graven images." (See NKJV of Holy Bible - Isaiah 42:8; 52:6; Jeremiah 33:2) "Sing to God, sing praises to His Name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His Name Yah, And rejoice before Him." Psalm 68:4 (This is an actual quote found in the New Kings James version of the Holy Bible.) "Trust in the Lord forever, for in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength." Isaiah 26:4 (This is an actual quote found in the New Kings James version of the Holy Bible.)

2. The word "God" was intended to be a universal title for the different nations' deities. See Webster New Collegiate Dictionary page 493 - God, page 680 - Lord, and page 1357 - Yahweh) The Roman Catholic Church (which is referred to as the Mother of Christianity in Revelation 17) adopted the word "god" when the Teutonic races were converted to Christianity. The Universal Roman Catholic Church's adoption of God as a universal name for the Most High allowed each nation to continue honoring their idol or deity by referring to him as god. The word "God" is not the name of the Heavenly Father who revealed Himself to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The word "god" was the title used to identify the different deities or idols of the nations. The idols or deities of the Nations were as follows: (1) Syrian's deity of Good Luck was "Gawd," (2) German deity was "Gatt," (3) Polish deity was "Pan," (4) Greek deity was "Zesus," (5) Latin deity was "Deus," (6) Italian deity was "Dio,", 7) French deity was "Dieu," (8) Spanish deity was "Dios."

In Isaiah 65: 11, Israel is accused of leaving the worship of Yahweh and turning to "Gawd" (the English word being "God."). Isaiah makes reference to two well known Syrian deities: the deity of fortune (Good Luck) and Meni (the deity of Fate.) In Psalm 96:5, it says "All the gods of the nations are idols… "

 3. What does Yahweh say about us giving His glory to other deities? Yahweh's desire is that we give Him the honor, praise and glory. As our friends and family honor us by pronouncing our name, it is Yahweh's desire that we honor Him by calling on His one and only Name. In Exodus 20:1-5, Yahweh's command to the people was that they should not bow down to other deities (idols) nor serve them because He is a jealous Elohim. In Exodus 23:13, Yahweh instructs us to be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other deities (idols), nor let it be heard from our mouth. In 1st Corinthians 8:5-6, Saul says that there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords.) He says "for us there is one EI, the Father (Yahweh and Son, Yahshua), of whom are all things, and through whom we live.

      4. What is the origin of the name of Yahweh? The name Yahweh originates from the Hebrew word Hayah. In Exodus 3:14, Moses asked Yahweh who shall I say has sent me. Yahweh told Moses to say, "Ayah Asher Ayah" (which means, I Will Be what I Will Be) has sent me unto you. Hayah is the root of the verb "to be" in Hebrew. (See The Interlineary NIV Hebrew English Old Testament page 151.) In Hebrew the name Yahweh is pronounced by using four letters YHWH: Yod---Hey---Waw---Hey                Y---H ---W---H                                 Y---A ---H---W---E---H

When "YHWH" (YAHWEH) is researched in Webster Dictionary, it gives the name of Yahweh and refers to the Tetragrammation. The word "Tetragrammation" means four letters in the Greek language. Webster Dictionary and other sources describe the Tetragrammation as the Hebrew letters transliterated YHWH or JHVH that forms the biblical proper name of God. It then refers the reader to the word YAHWEH. The word YAHWEH is defined as the God of the Hebrews - (see question 2 above for the origin of God). This substantiates that our Heavenly Father revealed Himself to Abraham as Yahweh.

 5. Why did Israel discontinue the use of the Sacred Name? It has been found that the name Yahweh was extensively used in the Old Testament more than 6,800 times and is by far the most frequently used name in the Bible. However, it has been mostly removed from modern translations. By the 3rd Century B.C.E. (Before the Common Era), the Name came to be considered so holy that pious people no longer pronounced it aloud, but rather substituted the word "Adonai" which means "my Lord" in English and "Baal" in Hebrew. Therefore, when the 70 scholars translated the Jewish Bible (Old Testament) to Greek (creating the Septuagint Bible), they did not translate the four-letter Sacred Name (YHWH) of Yahweh.

The Name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. (Prov. 18:10)

      6. What is the origin of the word Jehovah? The name "Jehovah" originated from the Tetragrammation (YHWH). It was derived from adding vowels from Adonay (the Phoenician Deity) to the letters of the Tetragrammation. Pope Leo Gallatin created the name in 1518. Webster Dictionary (see page 620) defines Jehovah as a false reading of the Hebrew word Yahweh. The World Book Encyclopedia states, the "Jj" is the tenth letter of the English alphabet. It was one of the last letters to be added to the alphabet, since it did not appear until the Middle Ages. The letter "J" derives from the letter "I" which itself derived from the Phoenician letter "Yod." The letter "I" was used at first to represent both vowel and consonant sounds. The consonant sound at first was the sound "Y" as in the word "young." Later, it was changed to represent the sound "J" as in "joy." During the 1900's, the letter "I" at the beginning or end of a word often was written with a tail. This form came to be a symbol for the consonant "j". The short form of "I" was continued in use as a vowel.  Y H W H

7. Is the Name of Yahweh spoken unknowingly by many people today?  When we say HalleluYah as noted in Revelation 19:3, we are giving praise to our One and Only Heavenly Father--the One who created heaven and earth. The word HalleluYah means "Praise Ye YAH." The correct rendering of the phrase "praise ye the Lord, in Psalm 113, 115, and 116 is "praise ye YAH or HalleluYah." Therefore, whenever we say HalleluYah, we are doing just what our Heavenly Father has instructed mankind to do - call him by His True Name, YAHWEH.

God said to Moshe (Moses), "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh [I am/will be what I am/will be]," and added, "Here is what to say to the people of Isra'el: 'Ehyeh [I Am or I Will Be] has sent me to you.'"  God said further to Moshe, "Say this to the people of Isra'el: 'Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh [ADONAI], the God of your fathers, the God of Avraham, the God of Yitz'chak and the God of Ya'akov, has sent me to you.'This is my name forever; this is how I am to be remembered generation after generation. (Ex 3:14-15)

I like 'The Eternal' or 'The Eternal One' (Yahweh) God (Elohim)

..he said unto Moses, Now shall you see what I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand shall he let them go and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land, speaking of the Israelites. And God spoke unto Moses and said unto him, I am YAHWEH and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac and unto Jacob by the name of God Almighty, (El Shaddai) but by my name Yahweh was I not known to them.

Now when you go back and read some of Genesis, because of the writings and Moses compiling the things he did, so often it uses the name The Eternal, but when you connect the name YAHWEH with God it makes it a very specific name. They referred to this God that was eternal, and that name was Yahweh that was used in there but He says here, He's making it very clear that never, never, never did He reveal Himself to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as Yahweh God, as a name, not just a title of His being: or a description of His being, but as a name: Yahweh.

Noah, obedience.......through faith

Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Almighty God graciously chose to reveal His Name (i.e., His character and presence by means of His acts and deeds) to the world through the Jewish people. Through the ancient Hebrew Patriarchs, through the great deliverance God effected by means of His servant Moses, through the eloquent oracles and admonitions of the Hebrew prophets, and most especially through the manifestation of the Mashiach Yeshua: in all these ways God has revealed His Name. In fact, the Scriptures make it clear that the name of Yeshua is so vital to our correct apprehension of reality that without it we are literally lost, since we are told "there is no other name by means of which it is necessary for us to be saved" (Acts 4:12).

God [The basic form]

Elohim.
God; gods. The plural form of El, meaning “Strong One.” The Name Elohim occurs 2,570 times in the Tanakh. See Isa. 54:5; Jer. 32:27; Gen. 1:1; Isa. 45:18; Deut. 5:23; etc.

YHVH

The personal Name of Adonai, the transcendent Source and Ground of all being whatsoever. This Name appears 6,800+ times in the Tanakh (rendered in the KJV as the LORD [all caps]).

In those contexts where the actual title "Lord" (Adonai) also occurs, YHVH is translated as "GOD," (all caps):

KJV Note: YHVH is transliterated as "Jehovah" in four passages where the name is particularly stressed (Exo 6:3; Psa 83:18 [H 19]; Isa 12:2; Isa 26:4] and in three passages to form transliterated constructs (e.g., Jehovahjireh (Gen 22:14; cc Exo 17:15; Jud 6:24)).

The Son of God

Ben Elohim.
The Son of God (Matt. 16:16; 26:63; Jn. 6:69).

I AM THAT I AM

Ehyeh asher Ehyeh
(eh-YEH a-sher eh-YEH) I AM THAT I AM. (Exodus 3:14; cp. John 8:58).

The LORD God

Adonai Elohim.
The LORD God (Gen. 2:4). This Name shows that the Source and Ground of all being is also the personal God and Creator of the entire universe.  References: Gen. 2:4f, 7ff, 15f, 18f, 21f; 3:1, 8f, 13f, 21ff; Exod. 9:30; 2 Sam. 7:25; 2 Kgs 19:19; 1 Chr. 17:16f; 28:20; 2 Chr. 1:9; 6:41f; Psa. 72:18; 84:11; Jonah 4:6.

The God of Abraham

Elohei Avraham.
The God of Abraham (Ex. 3:15).

The LORD my God

Adonai Elohai.
The LORD my God (Psalm 13:3).

The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob

  2. The Creator our Father in heaven has a name, it is mentioned 6,823 times in Scripture and that does not count the 134 times the Sopherim admittedly changed His Name to Adonai as noted in the Massorah. Our Creator declares His Name in Scripture with passages like the one below.

I am YHWH, that is My name; and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images. (HRV Isaiah 42:8)

"I am YaHuWaH, that is My Name, and My esteem I do not give to another, nor My praise to idols. (ISR Yeshayahu 42:8)

  3. How long shall this be? Is it in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, and prophets of the deceit of their own heart? That think to cause My people to forget My name (YHWH) by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers forgot My name (YHWH) for Ba'al (God & Lord). (HRV Jeremiah 23:26-27)

"Till when shall it be in the heart of the prophets? - the prophets of falsehood and prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My Name (YaHuWaH) by their dreams which everyone relates to his neighbour, as their fathers forgot My Name (YaHuWaH) for Ba'al (God & Lord). (ISR Yirmeyahu 23:26-27)

  4. This may not seem very significant to those who do not know Hebrew but the name Yeshua [Yahshua] or Y'SHUA literally means salvation in Hebrew. Let us now see how this passage would read if the Messiah's Hebrew name was translated directly from Hebrew into English.

And behold, she will bear a son, and you will call his name Salvation; for he will save his people from all their sins. (Modified HRV Matthew 1:21)

"And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name Salvation for He shall save His people from their sins. (Modified ISR Mattithyahu 1:21)

  5. 2 Corinthians 11:10-23 KJV

10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia. 11 Why? Because I do not love you? God knows! 12 But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works. 16 I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little. 17 What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. 18 Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast. 19 For you put up with fools gladly, since you yourselves are wise! 20 For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face. 21 To our shame, I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold--I speak foolishly--I am bold also. 22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ?--I speak as a fool--I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often.

  6. GOD'S NAME IS HOLY; HIS SON IS HOLY AND HIS DAYS ARE HOLY, WE HAVE TO COME OUT OF ALL PAGANISM.

HOW DO WE EXPECT ONE TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT 'PAGAN ORIGINS OF DAYS, BUT NOT PAGAN ORIGIN OF NAMES', FOR WE CAN NOT ESTEEM ONE HOLY (GOD'S SABBATHS) AND NOT THE OTHER (GOD'S NAME) AND WE KNOW THAT CHRIST TOO HAS NOW BEEN MADE GOD, WE WERE EXCITED TO LEARN THE NAME 'ELOHIM' AND WHAT IT MEANS, LET US PLEASE SHOW THIS SAME EXCITEMENT TO LEARN WHAT YAHSHUA MEANS. YEAH, YOU THINK THEY WANTED US TO KNOW THAT HIS NAME ACTUALLY HAD "YAH" IN IT, GOD HAS SHOWN MY SPIRIT OTHERWISE "YESHUA IS FINE, JESUS IS FINE, FOR HE IS WHO HE IS NOT BECAUSE OF THE NAME WE GIVE HIM BUT BECAUSE OF THE "EVERLASTING NAME THE FATHER HAS GIVEN HIM". HIS NAME IS "THE WORD OF GOD"!! SEE GOD IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END, THE LETTER "J" WAS THE LAST ALPHABET TO BE ADDED TO THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND IS "THE 10TH ALPHABET". BUT GOD IS THE THE BEGINNING AND THE END, OUT THOUGHTS ARE NOT HIS THOUGHTS; YET WE SHOULD SEEK TRUTH IN ALL THINGS. REMEMBERING THAT THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR GROWTH "SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT".

YAHSHUA'S NAME HAS BEEN HIDDEN, MEN THINK THIS NAME DOES NOT EVEN [EXIST] BUT THIS IS THE NAME BY WHICH WE ARE SAVED. THE NAME OF THE LORD IS PRETTY IMPORTANT, IT'S INCLUDED IN THE TEN COMMANDMENTS AS WELL. YAHWEH'S SALVATION, THE ETERNAL'S SALVATION!!!

IT MATTERS IF GOD SAYS IT MATTERS, GOD HAS SHOWN ME THIS TRUTH AND I'M BLESSED TO SHARE IT. MOST TIMES I REFERENCE THE "ENGLISH" NAME AS NOT TO CAUSE CONFUSION FOR MY BRETHERN. FOR THAT IS THE NAME I HAVE KNOWN TOO BEFORE 2010, BUT I ALSO SHARE THE TRUTH "THE TRUE NAME" WHENEVER I'M LEAD TOO.

MAY GOD BLESS ALL HIS PEOPLE, IN HIS TIME "SEASONS" ALL THINGS SHALL "GROW"...GOD'S PERFECT TIMING!! HIS SOON COMING SPIRITUAL HARVEST "THE FIRSTFRUITS-144,000" AND THEN THE FALL HARVEST, MANY, MANY MORE!!!

    PRAISE YAH, OUR ELOHIM!!!

  7. God’s Holy Spirit is the crucial element that makes the New Covenant workable, in contrast to the Old Covenant that failed because of Israel’s disobedience. Hebrews 8:10 (which quotes Jeremiah 31:33) states, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.”

  8. Why would we not want to know the names of the Lord! For He reigns!

Jesus name in the Hebrew (Y'shua) means Salvation, we should want to know that. Just as the Creator and Father God's name in the Hebrew is Yahweh Elohim which means "The Eternal One God", we should want to know that.

If Christ, through inspiration of God's Spirit, revealed (in Revelation to John) the Greek and Hebrew names of Satan, the devil, the "poisonous" serpent, once known as Lucifer.

And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon (in Latin Exterminans). (Revelation 9:11 NKJ)

They had as king over them the angel ("messenger") of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is "Abaddon" and in our language, "Destroyer." (Revelation 9:11 CJB)

So let us seek the Lord's name, that which matters and that which prevails.

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (2 Timothy 2:19 NKJ)

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it." ' (Revelation 2:17 NKJ)

In God we boast all day long, And praise Your name forever. Selah (Psalms 44:8 NKJ)

I will make Your name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore the people shall praise You forever and ever. (Psalms 45:17 NKJ)

I will praise You forever, Because You have done it; And in the presence of Your saints I will wait on Your name, for it is good. (Psalms 52:9 NKJ)

Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. (Psalms 63:4 NKJ)

The north and the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Your name. (Psalms 89:12 NKJ)

In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted. (Psalms 89:16 NKJ)

Save us, O Lord our God, And gather us from among the Gentiles, To give thanks to Your holy name, To triumph in Your praise. (Psalms 106:47 NKJ)
